Musso Pola churn switch
WIRING FOR POLA ICE CREAM MACHINES
LOOKING FROM THE REAR OF UNIT AT THE TERMINAL STRIP, THERE ARE 12 PORTS THAT ARE TIED TOGETHER IN-LINE CREATING A TOTAL OF SIX (6) USABLE WIRING PORTS THAT TERMINATE AT THE SWITCHES. STARTING FROM LEFT TO RIGHT, THE WIRES GOING TO THE SWITCHES ARE:
#1 BLACK TO TOP OF CHILL SWITCH
#2 BLACK TO OTHER TOP OF CHILL SWITCH
(Load and neutral compressor wires plus cooling fan)
#3 WHITE TO ONE OF THE CENTER TERMINALS OF TIMER
#4 BLACK TO OTHER CENTER TERMINAL OF TIMER
(Load and neutral wires from outlet)
#5 WHITE TO TOP OF CHURN SWITCH
#6 WHITE TO OTHER TOP OF CHURN SWITCH
(Load and neutral wires for churn motor)
LOOKING NOW FROM THE FRONT OF UNIT AT THE SWITCHES:
LEFT SIDE OF TIMER HAS 2 BLACK WIRES AND ONE WIRE EACH GOES TO THE BOTTOM LEFT SIDE OF CHURN AND CHILL SWITCHES RESPECTIVLY.
(Load / neutral to switches depending upon building wiring)
RIGHT SIDE OF TIMER HAS 2 WHITE WIRES AND ONE WIRE EACH GOES TO THE BOTTOM RIGHT SIDE OF CHURN AND CHILL SWITCHES RESPECTIVLY.
(Load / neutral to switches depending upon building wiring)
Green wire with yellow stripe is ground wire and should be secured to base of machine.
Remaining red and yellow wires from churn motor should have spade receptacles and connect to start/run capacitor. Try to keep wiring colors uniform, meaning left side of timer, bottom side of churn and chill switches, all black and right side of timer, bottom side of churn and chill switches are white. This can’t be obtained when connecting top wires to churn and chill switches.
